8th Grade Girls Volleyball Coach: Bridget Morris

Coach Morris has coached 7th grade, 8th grade, Junior Varsity, and Varsity volleyball over the past 11 years. Coach Morris was an assistant coach under Coach Latta’s State Championship teams in 2009 and 2010. She went on to Coach Junior Varsity and Varsity at Asbury High School for two years. Then coached Junior Varsity at Sparkman High School for two years, before coming back to Guntersville. Coach Morris is excited to begin her 5th season with the Wildcats.
In high school she played for CYC Volleyball Club and played three years on the varsity team at Incarnate Word Academy. In 2004, her high school team won a State Championship. She went on to play libero at Troy University.
Coach Morris has a Bachelor′s Degree of Science in Education from the University of Missouri - St. Louis. She teaches 6-8 inclusion special education at Guntersville Middle School. She is excited to share her knowledge of the game with the Lady Wildcats.
Her coaching philosophy is: I firmly believe that every season can be a successful season by simply staying on course. The desire to win, to get better, and to believe in each other is something that I push all of my athletes to feel in all things that we do. A love for the game and respect for teammates can make any group of young women reach goals that seemed once impossible.
